Compensation:
$21 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures while operating heavy equipment
- Ensure equipment stays in clean working order and report any issues to the supervisor
- Load Material in tipper trailers
- Ensure the work area is safe and compliant at all times
- Work as a team with other departments
- This position requires the ability to efficiently load materials onto a tipper trailer or walking floor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 30+ pounds
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work
- Knowledge of the proper operation of heavy equipment, as well as safety standards
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- This position is out in the elements; the candidate must be willing to work outside
Physical Requirements:
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and other business interactions
- Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
- Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg
- Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time
- Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods while operating the machine
