About Us
Commercial Business Floors specializes in commercial flooring installations for new construction multifamily and apartment buildings throughout Sarasota and surrounding areas. We work alongside general contractors and builders to deliver high-quality flooring installations on large-scale projects. We are seeking experienced installers who understand production schedules and new construction jobsite environments.
Position Overview
We are looking for skilled Commercial Flooring Installers with experience in new construction multifamily projects. Candidates must be comfortable working in active construction environments, meeting production timelines, and coordinating with other trades.
Responsibilities
- Install flooring in new construction apartment and multifamily buildings
- Materials include:

- Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP/LVT)
- Tile (porcelain/ceramic)
- Carpet tile (when applicable)
- Baseboards, transitions, and trim
- Carpet
- Surface preparation (patching, leveling, grinding as needed)
- Follow floor plans, layouts, and unit specifications
- Maintain consistent quality across multiple units
- Work efficiently to meet builder production schedules
- Maintain clean and safe job sites
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades on site
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial or multifamily flooring installation experience
- Experience in new construction environments required
- Ability to read plans and unit layouts
- Own professional installation tools
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and production efficiency
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- OSHA certification is a plus
