We're looking for an Auto Mechanic who's ready to jump into the action with us! This isn't your typical repair shop job - you'll be part of a team that keeps hundreds of vehicles auction-ready in our bustling South Florida environment. With sale days every Wednesday featuring 500+ vehicles running through our lanes, if you love variety, enjoy working on different makes and models every day, and get energized by a fast-paced atmosphere, this could be your perfect fit.
Your Day-to-Day Adventures
- Be the vehicle detective - diagnosing mechanical issues quickly and accurately
- Perform pre-sale inspections to ensure vehicles are auction-ready
- Handle light mechanical repairs, fluid checks, and battery replacements
- Jump-start vehicles and perform basic electrical diagnostics
- Move vehicles around the auction lot safely and efficiently
- Keep detailed records of vehicle conditions and repairs performed
- Work your magic both as part of our fantastic team and independently when needed
- Become our go-to expert who can assess vehicle conditions and help solve problems
- Embrace new challenges with different vehicle types and systems
- Support sale day operations ensuring smooth vehicle flow
What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of automotive mechanic experience (this is the big one!) and some experience with vehicle diagnostics
- Bonus Points: ASE certifications (not required, but we'd be impressed!)
- The Basics: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass our background check and drug screening
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of basic automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical)
- Diagnostic Skills: Ability to quickly identify common vehicle issues
- Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment
- Vehicle Operation: Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
- Documentation: Basic computer skills for recording vehicle conditions and repairs
- Teamwork: Ability to coordinate with auction staff, drivers, and management
- Adaptability: Comfort working on various makes, models, and vehicle types

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Wednesday auction day support (weekends are yours!)
