Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our family practice team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our lead physician to provide high-quality medical care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating patient conditions.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Collaborate with the physician to diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Patient Education: Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Procedures: Assist in or perform minor procedures such as suturing, injections, IV and administering vaccinations.
- Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Required experience in (EHR) eClinicalWorks.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Preventive Care: Promote preventive care and wellness by recommending screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current PA license in Florida.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in family medicine preferred, 1-3 Years, but not required.
