Monday- Friday 6:45am-2:45pm every 3rd weekend On Call

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed.
  • Assists in cleaning the operating theater. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Positioning and prepping patients prior to surgery, ensuring clear visibility for the surgeon by using instruments such as retractors and sponges, controlling bleeding, closing surgery sites using sutures or staples and properly dressing wounds.
  • Reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists, and have 1 years of experience.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge experience):

  • One-year experience as an Surgical Scrub
  • GI experience preferred
  • Graduate of a certified Surgical Technician program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must speak/write English fluently
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to prioritize



Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
