Stress Medical Assistant Full Time
Location: Port St. Lucie, FL (Tradition Office)
About the Role
Stuart Cardiology Group is seeking an experienced Stress Medical Assistant to support our diagnostic testing team in our Port St. Lucie office. This position is responsible for preparing patients for stress testing, monitoring patient safety, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and educate patients for cardiac stress tests.
- Administer and monitor exercise and pharmacological stress testing protocols.
- Record and monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure.
- Identify signs of patient distress and respond to ensure safety.
- Perform IV insertions as required.
- Operate and maintain monitoring equipment and testing supplies.
- Verify patient identity, prepare charts, and abstract medical studies.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent clinical background.
- Experience in cardiology or stress testing preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion required.
- Strong understanding of stress testing protocols and equipment.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
