Position Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of all common areas throughout the property. This includes both interior and exterior areas to ensure that the community maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation for residents and guests. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including but not limited to:
    • Clubhouse
    • Pool decks and surrounding areas
    • Tennis and pickleball courts
    • BBQ/picnic areas
    • Beachfront areas and walkways
    • Building lobbies and vestibules
    • Hallways, stairwells, and corridors
    • Parking garages and bike storage areas
    • Interior and exterior surfaces of all buildings’ common areas
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as:
    • Sweeping and mopping floors
    • Vacuuming rugs and carpets
    • Dusting baseboards, window sills, furniture, and fixtures
    • Cleaning interior and exterior windows and glass doors
    • Wiping down doors, door handles, handrails, and light switches
    • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, saunas, and showers
    • Scrubbing and maintaining elevator interiors, tracks, and panels
    • Cleaning fans, return vents, and air vents
  • Trash & Recycling:
    • Empty all trash and recycling bins from common areas
    • Replace liners as needed and ensure proper disposal procedures
  • Outdoor Furniture & Facilities:
    • Straighten and wipe down pool and patio furniture
    • Ensure pool deck, BBQ areas, and beach lounge areas are clean and organized
  • General Duties:
    • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management
    • Replenish cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are low
    • Support other departments with cleanliness-related tasks as directed
    • Assist with occasional setup and breakdown for community events or meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks
  • Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellent service

Work Schedule:

Full-time; flexibility schedule which will include weekends, holidays, or special projects as requested by management.
