Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification is needed for a full-time contract position serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Lehigh Acres, FL. This opportunity involves working on-site and providing specialized behavioral support and intervention across multiple school sites within Collier County Public Schools, including elementary and high school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs, including those in autism-focused classrooms.
  • Conduct assessments and data analysis to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote effective behavioral strategies and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management and intervention techniques.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant licensing and district requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA licensure is required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, especially those with autism spectrum disorder or other behavioral challenges.
  • Strong skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior intervention planning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with school teams and families.
  • Ability to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) onsite.

Location:

  • Lehigh Acres, FL, with assignments across various Collier County public school sites including Lake Park Elementary and Barron Collier High School.

This contract position starts January 5, 2026, and ends May 29, 2026. It provides an opportunity to impact student growth and school climate positively while working within a supportive school district framework.
