Injection Molding Process Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to ensure our molding operations run smoothly, producing top-quality parts with maximum efficiency.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintain and fine-tune molding machine processes to ensure consistent, high-quality production.

• Troubleshoot molding issues to minimize downtime and scrap.

• Perform routine visual inspections of products for quality assurance.

• Accurately maintain production documentation and records.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.

• Collaborate with all departments to keep machines running at peak performance.

• Perform mold changes, color changes, and material changeovers efficiently.

• Operate and adjust robotics as needed.

Education and Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in the plastics industry (GED or equivalent required).

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills.

• Understanding of material types, molding principles, and basic molding techniques.

• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems related to injection molding.

• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing documentation.

• Forklift certification preferred.

• Working knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and visual manufacturing systems.
