PRN PHARMACIST CONSULTANT | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: South Miramar FL 33025 – 100% On-site

- Travel required to three hospice inpatient units within South Florida.
- Payrate: $84.27/hr
- Required Availability: Part-time/PRN | Approximately 20–24 hours per month | Weekdays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
PRN PHARMACIST CONSULTANT | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The PRN Pharmacist Consultant will manage weekend on-call responsibilities, ensuring patients and families receive the highest quality of care and support during critical times.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PRN PHARMACIST CONSULTANT | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit three inpatient units weekly (1–2 hours per site) to perform consultant pharmacist duties.
- Conduct medication destruction and reconcile medication administration records.
- Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records.
- Advise patients and staff on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Provide consultation on both prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure proper inventory management of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management.
PRN PHARMACIST CONSULTANT | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Current Florida Pharmacist license and Consultant Pharmacist license required.
- Prior hospice or inpatient consulting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to regulatory compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
