We are currently hosting open interviews for this position on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No appointment necessary.

Position Summary

Harbour Club Miami is seeking a refined, highly organized, and charismatic Maitre D’ to serve as the face of our front-of-house experience. The Maitre D’ plays a pivotal role in creating a warm, elegant, and seamlessly orchestrated atmosphere for our members and guests. This individual will manage reservations, greet and seat guests with discretion and style, coordinate with floor staff and management, and ensure each dining experience reflects the high standards of our exclusive establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for members and VIP guests upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and polished first impression.

  • Manage the reservation book using hospitality software (e.g., SevenRooms, Resy), optimizing table flow and member preferences.

  • Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Managers and kitchen to ensure seamless service execution across all dining outlets.

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with grace and professionalism.

  • Oversee seating assignments and floor plans to maximize service efficiency while maintaining the ambiance of each space.

  • Develop genuine relationships with members and regular guests, remembering names, preferences, and special occasions.

  • Supervise and train host and reservations team to deliver exceptional and discreet service.

  • Handle member concerns or complaints tactfully, escalating when appropriate.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Maitre D’, Head Host, or similar front-of-house leadership role in a high-end or members-only environment.

  • Deep understanding of luxury hospitality and guest experience expectations.

  • Polished presentation and exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask under pressure.

  • Proficiency with reservation systems such as Resy, OpenTable, or SevenRooms.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Knowledge of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine and wine is a plus.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) a plus.
