This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Budderfly. We are currently looking for a Service Excellence HVAC/R Lead HVAC Technician in Miami, FL.

As a Lead HVAC/R Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of advanced HVAC systems across commercial sites. You will maintain, repair, and optimize high-efficiency heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. This role combines technical expertise, hands-on maintenance, and proactive problem-solving to deliver exceptional service to clients. You will also act as a key contributor to a growing team, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping to implement best practices across your region. The position requires flexibility, responsiveness to emergency service calls, and a commitment to maintaining top performance standards. Your work will directly impact energy savings and operational excellence for the customers you serve.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems, ensuring consistent and efficient operation of all units within your assigned area.
  • Perform commissioning checks, including mechanical inspections and controller configuration adjustments, to optimize performance.
  • Identify and address maintenance risks, electrical faults, and mechanical issues before they escalate.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, belt inspections, and system troubleshooting.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls, including nights and weekends, and perform warranty repairs as needed.
  • Keep accurate daily logs and records in the company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, OSHA standards, and internal service guidelines.
  • Support customers with inquiries and provide technical guidance to enhance overall satisfaction.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a service technician working on HVAC/R systems.
  • EPA Certification (required).
  • Experience with HVAC controls, including familiarity with Lennox Core and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a plus.
  • Ability to diagnose control and mechanical issues proactively.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and safety.
  • Willingness to travel within Miami, FL, and surrounding areas.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and be on-call, including nights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow professionally within the field.
