R & D Paving is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent/Foreman to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Have a thorough and complete knowledge of the laborer skills and heavy equipment used to operate our construction projects and will be able to assist the laborers and train and run the equipment when needed
- Manage a site crew of about 2-8 workers including laborers, flaggers and heavy equipment operators
- Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress. Report any problems promptly in an effort to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment delivered to the project are in compliance with approved submittals and shop drawings.
- Ensure that all items scheduled for inspections are pre-inspected for compliance
- Review projects daily to ensure that all activities are being performed in accordance with safety plan, in addition to OSHA or other governing body standards.
- Confirm all subcontractors are adhering to safety standards
- Identify safety issues and make all necessary corrections
- Complete daily reports (time sheets) and maintain logs of key activities if needed
Requirements/Skills:
- Experience working in a site crew performing site preparation work for municipalities or private contractors
- Provide leadership as part of a changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide positive impact on field operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with willingness to handle additional responsibilities as needed.
