Job Title: Component Repair Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Reports to: GM- Miami Component Repair
Location: Miami, FL
Schedule: Monday-Friday 25hrs flexible

Job Role:
- Candidates will perform detailed inspections, cleaning, repairs, and alterations on
aircraft structures, accessories, and components. This role is critical to ensuring
compliance with all relevant regulations, including the CMM, IRM, OHM, and FAA
guidelines. AOG Support is part of regular job duties and sometimes weekends as
needed - Operate industrial media blast cabinets using various types of materials for sand blast,
grit blast, glass bead, and plastic media applications. - Perform monthly maintenance and preventive maintenance on shop tooling and
equipment. - Plasma spray/thermal spray components and apply various types of coatings.
- Apply chemical coatings to finished parts. (Exp: Alodine, Iridite, Paint, Primer)
- Use of industrial chemicals for cleaning and parts prep. (Exp: Soaps, Degreasers,
Isopropanol, Acetone) - Use of industrial tooling for cutting, grinding, deburring and drilling.
- Perform precision measurements and scope out component repairs using specialized
calibrated tools and equipment. - Document technical writing on all repair and maintenance activities in compliance with
FAA regulations on company forms and ERP systems. - Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Foster a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting
awareness among team members.
Essential Functions and Competencies:
- Must read, write, and understand English.
- Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret schematics, manuals, forms and
documents, engineering drawings, and other technical directives. - Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.
- Must have the ability to work with a team and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced
and dynamic environment with a demonstrated record of achievement. - Must have strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity, be highly organized, work well
under pressure and successfully balance multiple priorities. - Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Applications.
- Must have a proficient understanding of ATA chapters associated with aviation Engine
Service Manuals, APU manuals, and structural components. - Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for aviation.
- Must have the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior
notice, until additional shifts are filled. - Must be willing to cross train in other complementary positions and seek endorsements
for skills as needed to support production requirements.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of aviation technician experience-military or civilian required.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance, structural repair, and troubleshooting, ideally
working on a variety of aircraft models required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs for approximately 25% of the average workday.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
