Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Plan, lead, and coordinate all field activities for multiple projects within the Roofing construction industry, including scheduling, Material Deliveries, Material Purchases, Required equipment, collaboration, coordination, and safety within the Roofing & Construction Industry.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the roofing contracting business, including project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure Project schedules and timelines are being met by production.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of roofing projects.
Coordinates between project management, field engineering, estimating, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, client to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards.
Create, maintain, and monitor a 3 week look ahead schedule.
Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document errors and omissions, and problem solving.
Plans the sequencing of work and determines manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
Lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and efficiency of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external record-keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurately reflecting hours worked and proper coding of activities performed on time cards.
Record all jobsite activities in cloud-based project management software.
Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintains logs and documentation of trainings, inspections, injuries and illnesses, and other safety records.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Manage inventory and procurement of materials and equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of construction management, and or related fields.
Experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within the construction or roofing industry.
Strong knowledge of operational management principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
