Job Description

The University of Miami Health System, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.

Clinical Duties:

• Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at Jackson Main, Jackson South and Jackson North Hospitals providing medical care for neonates in these units on a 24 hour 7 days per week rotational schedule
• Provide antenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies, assistance with the care and stabilization of infants in the delivery rooms, providing medical care in the pediatric intermediate unit,
• Conduct daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal special care units
• Some administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service are also part of the job
• Active participation in teaching and educational activities of pediatric residents, neonatal fellows and medical students are also included in this position.
• Requires development and participation in original research either clinical or translational for which extramural funding should be sought

Requirements:

• Active Florida Medical License
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred
