Shop Foreman – Job Summary
Associated Photo & Imaging is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations in our large format printing and light custom manufacturing production shop. This role ensures efficient workflow, high-quality output, and smooth coordination between team members, clients, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production schedules to meet tight deadlines
- Coordinate with heads of design and production departments to ensure quality output
- Monitor workflow through printing, finishing, mounting, fabrication, and quality checks
- Maintain equipment, coordinate repairs, and ensure safe operation
- Train and support team members while promoting a positive work environment
- Track materials, manage inventory, and maintain shop organization
- Communicate job status and production needs with management and clients
- Source vendors for unique elements outside our team's skill set
Requirements
- 2–3+ years in a production, print, imaging, or fabrication environment
- Strong leadership, management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues
- Spanish proficiency a must
- Knowledge of large-format printing, finishing, carpentry or laminating processes preferred
- Experience in Six Sigma practices and job costing a plus
