Job DescriptionSalary:
We are looking for compassionate, respectful, and caring mental health aide/behavioral health technicians to join our growing team of caregivers. As a behavioral health specialist for our agency, you will provide essential services to patients. Our ideal candidate is patient, independent, and self-sufficient, who enjoys taking care of others.
Behavioral Health Specialists assist with the treatment of patients who have post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, mental instability and physical and emotional abuse. Duties include recording patient behavior, medication administration, vital signs, providing a safe and supportive environment for the patients, crisis intervention, and assistance with daily activities and group sessions.
Overnight shifts are required for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Preference will be given to candidates with certification from a recognized Behavioral Health Technician program or an Associates or Bachelors degree in health administration, medical assisting, nursing, psychology, or a related field
2. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
3.High School Education required
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS:
1. Must have a valid drivers license.
2. Must have or obtain required training for position.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Proficiency in basic computer skills, operation and experience with keyboarding.
2. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
4. Must be able to present a positive working environment.
5. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner.

Schedule:
- 12 hour shift (3 and 4 day rotations)
- 6 weeks off yearly
- Holidays required
- Night shifts required
- Weekend availability required
Education:
- High school or equivalent
License/Certification:
- Driver's License Required
