In Service Operations we like to say Outage is a Team Sport…\nEvery successful outage starts with a winning bid and a proven execution plan,\nand then requires constant support and follow-though from the entire\norganization before breaker-open and beyond breaker-shut. As a Service Field\nEngineer you will travel to power stations and lead teams of technicians and\ncraft labor to effect repairs and upgrades to critical power generation\nequipment during both planned and required outages. Work on these units is typically\n24/7 and lasts from weeks to months. The field engineer role is responsible for\nthe safe technical execution of the project as well as assisting the project\nmanager meet the commercial requirements and maintaining excellent customer\nrelationship!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead\n Field Service teams at customer power plant sites around the country and\n world servicing, upgrading and modifying their turbine generators and\n associated auxiliary equipment during planned and forced service outages.
  • \n

  • Develop\n detailed outage plans, schedules, budgets, and spend plans to support\n district service offices in implementing outages
  • \n

  • Liaise\n with the district, Sales, and Marketing teams, other product line\n estimating teams, frame owners, engineering, and related technical\n specialists to define mechanical scope of work, division of\n responsibilities (DOR), and customer specific requirements.
  • \n

  • Maintain\n and continuously improve the functionality, accuracy, and precision of\n estimating tools and supporting data through evaluation and analysis of\n performance data from outages, implementing quality control measures, and\n capturing feedback from internal customers.
  • \n

  • Evaluate\n cost management proposals, support new products and services, lead related\n special projects, and develop planning templates to support field project\n managers.
  • \n

  • Lead\n internal projects, facilitate and collaborate in multi-functional teams,\n and present recommendations up to and including the executive leadership\n team.

What You Bring

    \n
  • Bachelors\n Degree
  • \n

  • 4+\n years of related technical or leadership experience preferred, open to new\n graduates with internships experience
  • \n

  • Excellent\n time management and organization skills
  • \n

  • Ability\n to lead teams and interface with customers
  • \n

  • Excellent\n writing and digital literacy and willingness to learn new IT applications.
  • \n
