Job Description:
A Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Summary:
The core job duties & responsibilities of a Security Agent include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the security of our guests and property
- Assisting Guests in emergency or security related situations
- Completing incident reports
- Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions
- Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
- Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
The Required Skill Set for a Security Agent include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks without close supervision.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
- Smile and greet the guests as you encounter them throughout your shift.
- Must be able to clock in and out for shifts and breaks responsibly.
- Must have a uniform that is clean and properly worn with your name tag. All visible tattoos and piercings must comply with standards outlined in Associate Handbook.
The Desired Qualifications of a Security Agent position include:
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and all holidays
- Must be willing to go above and beyond the basic job requirements to better help the guests, fellow employees, and company as a whole.
- Ability to remain calm, take proper steps, and direct others in an emergency
