We are a manufacturer with a factory located in Hialeah, Florida that twists threads using automated equipment. Primary Job Responsibilities
This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the production facility, including but not limited to:
- Operate and monitor light, automated machinery
- Load and unload small packages (1 lb to 12 lb) with precision, speed, and dexterity
- Minimize machine downtime by quickly using fingers by tying small knots when changing thread spools
- Perform occasional mechanical machine repairs.
- Count inventory, pack boxes, and transfer products between packaging
- Repackage items and prepare pallets for shipment
- Assist with general plant maintenance and cleaning as needed
- Be willing to operate or learn to operate forklift to load/unload trucks and organize materials. Forklift training and certification course will be provided by company.
Additional Job Responsibilities for which training will be provided
This position also includes responsibilities in our on-site quality control testing laboratory. Company will provide training.
- Conduct quality control testing using measurement equipment
- Follow highly specific testing protocols to ensure accurate data collection
- Work independently with exceptional attention to detail
- Receive one-on-one training in technical testing procedures
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, or different times as needed. Able to work overtime hours as required by company.
Knowledge, Aptitude & Skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- High initiative and problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team
- Proficiency in computers skills is a plus
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices and quality control procedures
- Ability to verify and maintain shipping records
- Forklift operation a plus
- Physically capable of occasionally lifting heavy boxes and 2 to12 lb packages
- Mechanically inclined and can work with tools
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks (e.g., moving gas cylinders, bags, boxes)
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude for repetitive tasks
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma a plus
- Conversational Spanish is required for personalized training limitations. English is a plus;
