Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour to start (higher rates available based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Day Shift

About the Role
We are hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics for immediate openings in Jacksonville. This is a field service position working directly on earth-moving equipment and a wide range of construction support machinery. Ideal for technicians who excel in diagnostics, enjoy independent work, and want long-term career stability. Technicians have access to OEM diagnostic systems, schematics, blueprints, specialty tools, and ongoing training.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency field service repairs
- Use OEM diagnostics, schematics, and technical documentation
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate repair records
- Operate a company-provided service truck and represent the team professionally on various job sites
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on heavy equipment (earth-moving or construction machinery)
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, diesel, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, extended days, and OT as required
