A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Operating Room to support adult and pediatric surgical patients. This contract position offers a chance to apply your skills in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary OR setting with a broad range of surgical specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery.
Location: Fort Myers, FL A vibrant city located on the southwest coast of Florida, Fort Myers offers beautiful beaches, warm weather year-round, and a rich cultural scene. The area combines small-town charm with modern amenities and is known for its outdoor recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, and golf.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across diverse surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in required on-call rotations averaging four calls per month, including evening and overnight shifts.
- Adapt to floating assignments, including potential coverage at sister campuses within a 50-mile radius.
- Maintain compliance with clinical documentation and standards using Epic EMR.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience, including pediatric surgical care expertise.
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience highly favored.
- Degree accreditation or 5+ years of relevant clinical experience mandated.
- Commitment to fostering a team-oriented and supportive unit culture.
Schedule:
- 10-hour day shifts with variable start times.
- Call shifts requiring availability evenings and overnight.
