A specialized nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with expertise in Operating Room care, including pediatric experience. This contract position is based in Fort Myers, FL, and requires a professional with a deep knowledge of diverse surgical specialties and the ability to work flexible shifts with call responsibilities.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Pediatric surgical experience is a must
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred
- Degree accreditation must be verifiable or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work within a 50-mile radius of permanent residence
- Willingness to float between units and potentially other nearby campuses

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients
- Support surgical services including ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
- Participate in varied call schedules averaging approximately four per month, including evening and overnight shifts
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt seamlessly to floating assignments
- Uphold facility culture by functioning as an integral member of the core nursing staff
Schedule:
- 10-hour day shifts with variable start times
- Call schedule includes evenings and overnight coverage, with backup call shifts as assigned
- No block scheduling; flexibility and responsiveness are essential
