Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Parkland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and patrol residential areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for residents and guests. You will support a secure environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of individuals entering the residential community.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
- Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
- Assist residents and visitors with directions and general information about the location as needed.
- Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related needs and concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
