Prime Tech Coatings is currently seeking a dedicated Industrial Painting and Coating Worker to join our dynamic team at our warehouse in west palm beach. This role is essential for ensuring the application of protective paints and coatings meets the highest standards and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Painter responsibilities include ability to mix and apply coatings per manufacture’s recommended written data sheets, prep, fill, sand and mask if necessary.
During interview come dressed to get dirty and prepared to show skill level.
Painter Responsibilities & Duties
- Preparing surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and priming.
- Selecting the appropriate paint or coating based on the project's requirements.
- Applying paint, varnish, stains, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Mixing and matching paint colors for custom jobs.
- Covering furniture, floors, and trim to protect them from paint splatter.
- Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment.
- Repairing holes, cracks, and other imperfections on surfaces.
- Inspecting and refurbishing existing painted surfaces.
- Collaborating with clients to determine specifications and preferences.
- Be familiar with conventional, HVLP and airless painting techniques as well as rolling and brush applications.
Job requirements - Mandatory:
- 3-5 years previous experience as a professional painter.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques and tools.
- Strong color vision and aesthetic sense.
- Certification in painting or a related field.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in both residential and commercial painting projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination.
- Physical stamina to stand, climb, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Wear protective clothing (i.e Tyvek suits, masks and respirators)
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Work well with others in a team environment and able to work productively with minimal supervision
- Quick learner, dependable and can work effectively under schedule pressure
- Keeps work area clean and maintains work equipment
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- On-time, hard work ethic with quality performance, strong sense of urgency and an eye for quality finish
- Able to work with industrial coatings (ie. Epoxy and Urethane coating systems, ) as well as chemicals (i.e Xylene, mineral spirits, paint thinner, acetone etc.)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience required
