We are a small, family owned residential/light commercial HVAC company located in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are looking a for qualified, experienced preventative maintenance/service HVAC technician with a minimum of 1 year experience. Honesty and reliability a must. Applicant needs to be self-motivated, have good customer service skills, and a strong work-ethic. The PM/Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on split HVAC systems, mini splits, dehumidifiers and ice machines. In addition perform diagnostic service calls when needed.

A Preventative Maintenance/Service Technician must be able to perform preventative maintenance and accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and Mead Mechanical. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing routine preventative HVAC service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
- Conducting HVAC servicing jobs promptly and efficiently.
- Available to be put into the on-call evening/weekend rotation.
- Performing related duties as directed by the Service Manager.
Job Qualifications:
- One or more year(s) of successful experience, either as a service or preventative maintenance technician.
- Currently have an EPA Universal certification.
- NATE certification encouraged.
- Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and other Mead Mechanical employees.
- Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions found in Florida.
- Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing his or her HVAC skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
- Current valid FL driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work under pressures of time, a non-standard schedule, weather, customer needs, and backlog constraints.
