Shift Hours: 7AM - 3:30PM
The CNC Machinist assembles, repairs and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment (CNC Mills & Lathes). The CNC Machinist will interpret drawing and read operation sheets for material and dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities - CNC Machinist:
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
- Mount, install, align and secure tools, attachments, fixtures and workpieces on machines
- Lift workpieces to machines manually, or with hoists or crane
- Work with Engineering to optimize programs
- Adjust machine feed and speed or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction

Requirements
Education - CNC Machinist:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience - CNC Machinist:
- At least 2 years of applicable machine shop experience
Skills - CNC Machinist:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of machining practices and techniques, basic mechanical principles and shop mathematics, setups, tooling applications, operating methods and machine ability of materials
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to read CNC machine code (G-code)
- Ability to use computer workstation
- Ability to use basic shop math
- Ability to solve practical problems
Other - CNC Machinist:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat and use hands
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job
