About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of residential and commercial properties within the real estate development and management sector. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, drywall repair, and mechanical system upkeep to maintain optimal building operations. The technician will conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute timely repairs to prevent disruptions and extend the lifespan of property assets. Working closely with property management teams, the Maintenance Technician contributes to tenant satisfaction by addressing maintenance requests efficiently and professionally. Ultimately, this role supports the overall value and reputation of the properties by maintaining high standards of repair and upkeep in the Mizner area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, drywall, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and perform manual labor.
- Good hearing and verbal communication skills to understand and respond to maintenance requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, or related technical fields.
- Experience working in real estate development, property management, or rental property maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes applicable to residential and commercial properties.
- Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- First aid and OSHA safety training certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks including plumbing repairs, electrical wiring, drywall installation and repair, carpentry, and mechanical system servicing.
- Conduct precision measurements to ensure accuracy in repairs and installations, maintaining compliance with safety and building codes.
- Inspect mechanical systems and equipment regularly to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Climb ladders and access various building areas safely to complete maintenance work at different heights and locations.
- Communicate effectively with property management and tenants to understand maintenance needs and provide timely updates on repair status.

Precision measuring skills ensure that installations and repairs meet exact specifications, preventing future issues and maintaining structural integrity.
