About the Role:

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our in-house legal team. In this role, you will provide critical paralegal support for the drafting, review, negotiation and management of a wide range of commercial contracts. With your strong contract expertise, you will work closely with attorneys and business stakeholders to ensure contractual needs are met efficiently and effectively.


  • Responsibilities

- Draft, review and analyze various types of contracts including master service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, procurement contracts and more

- Conduct research on contractual issues, legal precedents and best practices

- Assist with contract negotiations by summarizing key terms, identifying risks and proposing revisions

- Ensure proper approvals are obtained and contract processes are followed

- Maintain accurate contract files and databases

- Provide guidance to clients and internal teams on contract terms, obligations and interpretations

- Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations and industry standards impacting contracts


  • Requirements

- Paralegal certificate or equivalent training/experience

- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience with significant exposure to commercial contracts

- In-depth knowledge of contract law principles and best practices

- Strong writing, proofreading and analytical skills

- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management software

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Outstanding client service skills

  • Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working at a law firm or in-house legal department

- Familiarity with specific contracted services (e.g. software, consulting, etc.)

- Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes

- Prior use of contract management databases and tools
