Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Water Project Engineer/Manager for our Hollywood office. As part of our design and process teams, you will be working on all phases of water projects (including membrane and ion exchange) from concept development, project planning, study/research, detailed process mechanical design, construction oversight, and operations assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Your role will primarily include detailed process mechanical design, as well as project management, study/planning, operational support, and business development with a focus on drinking water projects
- Supporting and developing proposal development.
- Helping to identify, hire, supervise and mentor junior drinking water staff.
- Direct coordination and collaboration with clients.
- Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
- Managing projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
- Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small/medium/large projects.
- Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation.
- Evaluate progress of the project staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overall project objective.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- PE license is required (FL preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
- 15+ years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing
- Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Self-starter with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be capable of presenting complex issues to non-technical people
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
