Manager, Production Operations
Location: Boca Raton, FL (Onsite – No Travel)
Employment Type: Permanent, Exempt
Schedule: Core hours M–F, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (supports a 24/7 operation)
Compensation: $135,000–$150,000 base + bonus (~10%, TBD)
Relocation: Available (TBD)
Position Summary
The Manager, Production Operations leads 24/7 plasma fractionation and purification manufacturing operations. This role provides operational and technical leadership, drives cGMP compliance, and partners closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing. This is a newly created role with strong growth potential.
Reports to the Senior Director, Production Operations and manages two Manufacturing Supervisors overseeing teams of Group Leads and Technicians (Tech I–III working 4x12 schedules).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fractionation and purification manufacturing operations
- Drive cGMP compliance, quality systems, and right-first-time execution
- Manage deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and training
- Support production targets, yield, and operational plans
- Partner with Engineering and support teams on process improvements
- Lead audits, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop staff through coaching, training, and performance management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing experience
- Strong cGMP and aseptic manufacturing background
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a 24/7 environment
- Solid understanding of FDA regulations and GMP requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in science, engineering, or related technical field
- Experience across bulk manufacturing, purification, and fill/finish
