Your Role
As a Lab Assistant - Bone Marrow in our Miami, FL location, you will thrive in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. Your contributions will be essential in handling and preparing bone marrow specimens for analysis. This is not just a job; it’s a vital component of clinical lab science!
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Your Responsibilities
- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and conduct minor maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues
- Replenish test bench supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Complete record logs and administrative duties as requested
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to uphold safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
To ensure the safety of our patients, this position requires successful completion of medical surveillance testing as part of the post-offer onboarding process. Labcorp will consider reasonable accommodations for medical contraindications/disabilities or religious beliefs.
