Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search has been retained by a prestigious national law firm to identify and place a Corporate Attorney or Partner to join their growing Corporate and M&A Practice Group in Florida. This is an opportunity for an accomplished attorney to take on a first-chair leadership role in high-value transactions—both domestic and cross-border—and become part of a dynamic, solutions-driven team.
This position is open to candidates based in (or willing to relocate to) Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Tallahassee, or West Palm Beach.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage sophisticated corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, private placements, and joint ventures

Serve as first chair on matters, overseeing deal structuring, negotiation, and execution

Advise clients on a wide range of corporate governance and compliance issues

Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s national and international offices

Cultivate client relationships and contribute to practice group growth

Leverage existing portable business to build and expand practice footprint
Qualifications
-
J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar (or eligibility to waive in)

Minimum 7+ years of experience practicing corporate law, with a strong focus on M&A and private placements

Proven ability to lead transactional matters independently with minimal oversight

Excellent legal judgment, business acumen, and communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of handling multiple transactions simultaneously

Demonstrated history of client service excellence and the ability to attract and retain business

A portable book of business is strongly preferred and will be favorably considered
