Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search has been retained by a prestigious national law firm to identify and place a Corporate Attorney or Partner to join their growing Corporate and M&A Practice Group in Florida. This is an opportunity for an accomplished attorney to take on a first-chair leadership role in high-value transactions—both domestic and cross-border—and become part of a dynamic, solutions-driven team.

This position is open to candidates based in (or willing to relocate to) Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Tallahassee, or West Palm Beach.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sophisticated corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, private placements, and joint ventures

• Serve as first chair on matters, overseeing deal structuring, negotiation, and execution

• Advise clients on a wide range of corporate governance and compliance issues

• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s national and international offices

• Cultivate client relationships and contribute to practice group growth

• Leverage existing portable business to build and expand practice footprint

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar (or eligibility to waive in)

• Minimum 7+ years of experience practicing corporate law, with a strong focus on M&A and private placements

• Proven ability to lead transactional matters independently with minimal oversight

• Excellent legal judgment, business acumen, and communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of handling multiple transactions simultaneously

• Demonstrated history of client service excellence and the ability to attract and retain business

• A portable book of business is strongly preferred and will be favorably considered
