Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Case Manager to join our legal team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient management of civil cases from intake to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. This is a Hybrid position that does require you to come into the office while having some flexibilty after 90 days to be partially at home. What You’ll Do:
Case Management & Calendaring
- Handle a docket of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Track all court deadlines and appearances; maintain comprehensive case calendars
Drafting, Discovery & Filing
- Draft, review, and e-file pleadings, motions, answers, and discovery responses
- Prepare and serve discovery requests; compile and analyze incoming discovery
- Generate correspondence, invoices, spreadsheets, and case reports as needed
Client & Court Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—provide updates, gather information, and set expectations
- Coordinate court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings with opposing counsel and clerks
Research & Trial Support
- Conduct preliminary legal and factual research to support case strategy
- Organize exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders; assist attorneys during hearings or trial prep
What You’ll Bring:
Required
- One of the following:
- Certified Paralegal (NALA) — CP or ACP
- Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited institution
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP)
- or 3+ years’ paralegal experience in civil litigation
- Certified Paralegal (NALA) — CP or ACP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Weslaw (or comparable legal research platform)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and tight deadline management
- Residence within 50 miles of Lakeland, FL and ability to be on-site as needed.
Preferred
- Experience in a high-volume litigation practice
- Familiarity with e-filing systems across Florida jurisdictions
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language)
