Rehabilitation Aide

Reports to: Physical Therapist (PT) / Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) / Clinic Director Department: Clinical Support Location: PT Now Clinic

Role Description & Mission

The Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in PT Now's mission to deliver high-quality, accessible rehabilitation services that transform lives by supporting therapists in patient care, preparing treatment areas, and ensuring clinic operations run smoothly. This role reflects Service Before Self by assisting patients and clinicians with efficiency, professionalism, and care.

  • Support the clinical team in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ensure treatment areas are prepared, clean, and stocked to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with patient exercises and movement under direct supervision, in alignment with PT Now's Core Values.

  1. Treatment Area Readiness: 100% of scheduled sessions start on time with prepared equipment.
  1. Patient Assistance Satisfaction: ≥ 4.8/5 rating for professionalism and helpfulness.
  1. Clinic Cleanliness Score: Passes 100% of internal monthly inspections.
  1. Equipment Turnaround Time: ≤ 2 minutes between patient uses.
  1. Support Task Completion: 100% of assigned daily/weekly support tasks completed on time.

Scope of Work

Patient Support

  • Escort patients to treatment areas and assist with setup.
  • Supervise and guide patients through exercises as directed by PT or PTA.
  • Provide encouragement and ensure patient safety during activities.

Clinic Maintenance

  • Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment tables after each use.
  • Restock linens, supplies, and treatment tools daily.
  • Maintain organized treatment and storage areas.

Operational Assistance

  • Assist with scheduling follow-ups when needed.
  • Retrieve and return equipment during sessions.
  • Support front desk and administrative tasks as directed.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure treatment areas meet safety standards at all times.
