Job Description

Join a boutique commercial architecture practice that’s been quietly making its mark in Central Florida for nearly a decade. Led by a hands-on principal with 25+ years of experience, the firm delivers creative, high-quality work across higher education, hospitality, offices, restaurants, religious facilities and select healthcare projects. With a small, collaborative team, every individual has real influence over design direction and client relationships—and now we’re ready to build an interior design studio from the ground up.

As our Interior Designer & Business Development Lead, you will:

• Drive all aspects of interior design—space planning, concept development, material selection, presentation graphics, construction documents (AutoCAD required; Revit a plus) and on-site support

• Cultivate new business by tapping into your existing network, attending industry events, following up on leads and nurturing client relationships

• Act as a primary client liaison for interiors, ensuring exceptional service and uncovering opportunities for additional work

• Partner daily with the principal and project teams—brainstorming ideas, refining details and upholding our standard of design excellence

• Build and grow an in-house interior design department: as you generate work, you’ll have the chance to hire support staff and eventually run your own studio within the firm

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial interior design experience (higher ed, hospitality, offices, restaurant or religious projects)

• Demonstrated success in business development—strong networking skills, proactive outreach and a track record of converting leads into projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a strong plus

• Excellent presentation skills, with a portfolio that highlights your creative vision and problem-solving abilities

• Self-starter mindset who thrives in a small-team environment and isn’t afraid to “pick up the phone” to build relationships

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field; references that speak to your design talent and client-management strength

• Local candidates preferred; limited relocation assistance for exceptional “unicorn” candidates

Why You’ll Love It Here

• True ownership: your efforts directly shape our interior design practice and the firm’s growth trajectory

• Attractive upside: bonus structure tied to the revenue you bring in—generate $1M in work and reap significant rewards

• Career runway: as the department grows, you’ll lead your own studio and mentor junior staff

• Collaborative culture: on-site collaboration, regular team gatherings, annual performance reviews and discretionary bonuses

• Varied projects: work across multiple commercial sectors and bring fresh ideas to each new challenge

Next Steps

If you’re an entrepreneurial interior designer with a knack for networking and a passion for creative problem solving, we want to hear from you. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.

We look forward to discovering how you can help us elevate our interiors practice and grow our business together!
