SUMMARY:
The Senior Project Manager will manage the full lifecycle of refrigeration projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ammonia/CO2/Freon refrigeration systems, project management, and team leadership. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies while ensuring compliance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Additional duties may be assigned).
· Manage the lifecycle of service contracts specific to industrial refrigeration systems from initiation to renewal.
· Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for service contract preparation.
· Maintain accurate records of service contracts and related documentation.
· Provide support to industrial refrigeration clients regarding Service contract inquiries and issues.
· Assist in the development and implementation of service contract management processes.
· Monitor industrial refrigeration service contract performance and report on key metrics.
· Ensure timely renewal and scheduling of service contract renewals
· Lead the development of refrigeration projects for new and existing customers, working closely with developers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
· Oversee budgets, contracts, risk analysis, insurance, permits, and compliance while managing schedules and field resources.
· Manage bidding, purchase orders, subcontractor buyouts, material takeoffs, and budget vs. actual cost analysis.
· Provide direction to project teams, facilitate safety meetings, and ensure quality control.
· Oversee punch lists, final inspections, lien releases, and customer handovers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise project teams, subcontractors, and vendors as needed; provide leadership, direction, and performance feedback.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years in Project Management within refrigeration or mechanical contracting sectors
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in managing industrial refrigeration projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems and technologies, including screw/reciprocating compressors, evaporators, condensers, vessels, controls, and piping.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
EQUIPMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in both office and field environments; must be able to conduct site visits, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and scheduling software.
