- Ocala, FL 34470: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Required)
Work Location: In person
- Plan both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Classroom teaching involving explaining an activity, engaging children in the activity and supervising their work (i.e. standing, walking, bending or squatting)
- Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child.
- Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning.
- Turn in weekly lesson plans for review (lesson plans due a week ahead of time)
- Prepare monthly plan charts. Complete assessment of children's development.
- Report progress of children to parents and through parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents.
- Keep accident reports.
- Maintain anecdotal records.
- Keep all appropriate viable paperwork licensing regulations.
- Lifting and carrying children.
- General cleaning and sanitation including but not limited to sweep, mop, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking the trash out.
- Lifting or moving equipment such as cots, shelves, tables, chairs, and cubbies.
- Visually inspect children for cleanliness throughout the day
- Respond to the children’s needs by listening for the child’s cue
- Bend, stoop, kneel, stand and sit for long periods throughout the day.
