Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a permanent opportunity in Gainesville, Florida.
In this role, the Respiratory Therapist delivers comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across acute and critical care settings. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, leadership, patients, and families.
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining both routine and non-routine respiratory therapies and equipment, including oxygen delivery systems, aerosol therapies, and mechanical ventilators. The therapist must be skilled in performing and interpreting arterial blood gases and monitoring patient responses, medication side effects, and therapeutic effectiveness.
Employment Details:
This is a permanent, full-time position. Shift details and scheduling will be discussed during the interview process. Shift differentials apply for nights and weekends. Sign-on and relocation assistance are available on a case-by-case basis.
Compensation:
Hourly compensation is based on years of experience and includes shift differentials and sign-on eligibility.
Hourly Pay Range:
Under 1 year: $27.42
2–3 years: $29.89
4–5 years: $31.12
6–7 years: $32.36
9–10+ years: $33.59
16+ years: $36.95
Additional Compensation:
Night shift differential: $3.25/hour
Weekend differential: $2.00/hour
Sign-on bonus: $15,000
Relocation assistance: Case by case
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care respiratory therapy experience required
- Experience in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or other critical care settings required
- Florida State Respiratory Therapist license required
- NBRC credential required (RRT or CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 30 days of employment start date
- Strong communication, teaching, assessment, and critical thinking skills
