Make Ready Technician
Pay rate: 16-18/hr
Job description
Sterling Personnel, Inc. is looking for a make-ready technician for an apartment complex facility. This role is offered as an open-ended temporary opportunity that has the potential to turn into a long-term position based on business needs. The typical schedule for this position is Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a pay range of $16–$18/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the lead maintenance supervisor and work with property management to prioritize and complete make-ready tasks.
- Monitor and report inventory needs for supplies and equipment
- Replace or repair fixtures, appliances, flooring, and hardware as needed.
- Performs and/or assists with carpentry work, painting, and plumbing duties as required.
- Installs appliances and electrical fixtures as required
- Moves appliances, with assistance, using an appliance dolly
- Installs, repairs, and rekeys deadbolt locks
- Reports any maintenance problems
- Assists with resident functions as required
- Maintains a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Complete grounds work such as grounds pickup, sweeping, and light landscaping
- Minor pool maintenance may be required
- Completes checklists in a timely manner to ensure units are ready for new residents move-in date
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a minimal 3 years of make-ready experience
- Must have strong communication skills to be able to understand and follow directions.
- Must have knowledge of general maintenance, painting, make-ready procedures, and general grounds care.
- Must be prompt, on time to work, and have good, regular attendance
- Availability to work weekends while maintaining a flexible weekday schedule
