Job Description

ACCOUNTABLE TO: The Worship Host works at the pleasure of the Session. The direct
supervision for this position will come from the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS: As a primary “face” of the Pink Church, this relationally focused and
highly collaborative role requires impeccable people skills, and highly attuned emotional
intelligence. The Service Host sets the worship environment by staging the sanctuary,
and by managing facets of hospitality, including overseeing reception volunteers,
greeters, and ushers. The primary focus is Sunday worship support, but also included
are special services, funerals, and weddings.
PURPOSE: Serve as the relational and logistical point person for worship
environments.
PRIMARY WORSHIP SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate Sunday morning ushers greeters.
Assist, as needed, with printing of materials for worship services.
Process the congregational offering.
Help prepare elements for communion services.
Support for pulpit supply preachers.
Provide first level of security for Sunday morning worship.
Interface with parishioners before and after worship services.
Support special church holidays and/or events.
Facilitate logistics of weddings, funerals, and receptions.
Facilitate logistics for baptisms, special service elements, and birthday
recognitions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
