We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Beach/Pool Attendants at the Pompano Beach Residence Inn Oceanfront to join our team. As a Beach/Pool Attendant, you will play a vital role in enhancing our guests' experience by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the beach area is clean, safe, and well-maintained. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.
What you will be doing:
- Greet guests upon arrival at the beach area and provide information about available services and amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of beach equipment, including chairs, umbrellas, and recreational items.
- Monitor beach activities to ensure guest safety and compliance with resort policies.
- Assist guests with setting up their beach equipment and provide support for any special requests.
- Handle cash transactions for rentals or food service items while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, including food service and events management, to coordinate guest experiences.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively using conflict management skills.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance public speaking abilities and customer service techniques.
What you bring to the table:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred; experience in resort or theater settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with lifeguard practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly manner.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Excellent conflict management skills to resolve guest issues effectively.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
