A school-based social worker or mental health therapist is sought for K-12 educational settings in Summerland Key, FL. This contract position runs for the entire school year, providing vital mental health support primarily to middle and high school students in collaboration with special education teachers. The role is focused on delivering direct mental health services without testing or evaluations.

Two openings are available for qualified candidates who may identify as Social Workers, Mental Health Therapists, or School Psychologists. Candidates must be licensed as VOCO professionals. One position requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish, and the other requires bilingual proficiency in Haitian-Creole to effectively support diverse student populations.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as VOCO Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist, or School Psychologist
• Fluent in Spanish or Haitian-Creole (depending on the position)
• Experience working within K-12 school environments, particularly with middle and high school students
• Strong collaboration skills, especially partnering with Special Education teachers
• Ability to provide mental health support services to students without involving formal assessments or evaluations
• Availability for 24 hours per week during the school year

Responsibilities:

• Deliver mental health counseling and support to students in middle and high school
• Collaborate closely with Special Education staff to address student needs
• Support the emotional and behavioral well-being of students in the school community
• Maintain records of services provided while respecting student confidentiality
• Participate in team meetings and consult with educators to create supportive learning environments
