Fleet / Small Engine Technician

AS A FLEET / SMALL ENGINE TECHNICIAN

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment.

FLEET / SMALL ENGINE TECHNICIANDUTIES INCLUDE

  • Performing needed repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and landscaping equipment
  • Initiating service calls and/or ordering parts needed for equipment repairs
  • Performing skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment
  • Following all maintenance policies and procedures
  • Inspecting, testing, and/or completing work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements
  • Monitoring tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
  • Tire Mounting/Balance
  • Hydraulic/Drive Train
  • Small Engine Repair/Troubleshoot

FLEET / SMALL ENGINE TECHNICIANQUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ Years Mechanizing Diesel/Gas Equipment- Vehicles, Tractors, Mowers, & 2 Cycle Engines
  • Experience in performing a daily inspection on fleet vehicles and landscaping equipment for readiness
  • Familiar with DOT Requirements/Regulations
  • Certifications Preferred
  • Class A CDL Driver's License preferred with Clear Motor Vehicle Record

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

  • $18.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and/or applicable licensure/certifications

EDUCATION

High School or equivalent required

Associates Degree a plus!
