Position Summary
SpringHill Suites Tampa North/I-75 Tampa Palms is seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseman to support the Housekeeping team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hotel.
The Houseman is responsible for maintaining public and back-of-house areas, delivering supplies, removing trash and soiled linens, and assisting Housekeepers and other departments as needed.

Position Summary
SpringHill Suites Tampa North/I-75 Tampa Palms is seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseman to support the Housekeeping team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hotel.
The Houseman is responsible for maintaining public and back-of-house areas, delivering supplies, removing trash and soiled linens, and assisting Housekeepers and other departments as needed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust surfaces, clean glass, and remove trash.
- Deliver linens, towels, guest supplies, and other items to Housekeepers and guest rooms.
- Remove soiled linens and trash from guest room floors and designated collection areas.
- Stock and organize housekeeping closets, storage rooms, and supply areas.
- Assist Housekeepers with moving furniture, handling linens, and completing room assignments when needed.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
- Maintain the cleanliness of hotel entrances, exterior walkways, and designated outdoor areas.
- Assist with meeting-room setup, breakdown, and cleaning when required.
- Report maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, security, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Protect guest privacy and hotel property.
- Work cooperatively with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and hotel leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
- Previous hotel, janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete physically demanding assignments efficiently.
- Professional and respectful when interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Must have weekend availability.
- Must be available for a 9:00 a.m. start time.
- Schedule and weekly hours may vary based on hotel occupancy and business demand.
The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs.
- Push and maneuver housekeeping carts, linen bins, and other equipment.
- Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
- Work with cleaning chemicals and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform physically active work throughout the scheduled shift.
