Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the established plan of care
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional independence and safety
- Communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Recommend and/or provide appropriate treatment equipment and adaptive devices as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support independence and safety at home
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Florida COTA license
- Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach to working with geriatric patients
