Position Summary: Serves as Nursery gardener for Naples Botanical Garden. This position is responsible for the maintenance and care of nursery facilities that contain a large diversity of specimen (Orchids, cacti, trees, shrubs, etc.) for research, conservation, community projects, and garden usage. 
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Maintain Nursery and assist with day-to-day tasks such as: seeding, repotting, propagating, weeding, organizing, watering, and cleaning.</li>
<li>Recognize and report potential plant abnormalities such as wilting, leaf scorch, nutrient deficiencies, and/or pests.</li>
<li>Maintain record of new plants, repotting, relocation, labeling of plant material, and any changes to nursery plants.</li>
<li>Follow industry best management practices.</li>
<li>Other duties as required and assigned. </li>

Requirements/Qualifications:
<ul>

THE JOB
As a Sonographer, your focus is on ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. This means working closely with our emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for pets when they need it most. You'll deal with a variety of patient types and scans, so being comfortable adapting to new scenarios and willing to learn new techniques and think outside the box are all part of your day-to-day. You'll also assist in coordinating education opportunities and overall ultrasound training for your home and regional hospitals, inspire and motivate your fellow VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills, and be ready to pitch in at the hospital whenever and wherever needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

<li>Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at your home hospital and regional hospitals</li>
<li>Maintain good relationships with and accept feedback from teleconsultation radiologists reading your studies (e.g., Antech, SonoPath, IDEXX, VetsChoice, etc.)</li>
<li>Ensure all training content and activities are in alignment with VEG culture, mission, and vision, and represent accurate, up-to-date sonographic techniques</li>
<li>Track doctor and nursing team skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist</li>
<li>Engage in self-reflection and program evaluation practices to modify and enhance VEG's ultrasound training programs</li>
<li>Regularly meet with the medical directors, nursing trainer, and director of radiology education to discuss program development, training objectives, and additional needs</li>
<li>Regularly meet with the hospital manager and medical director to discuss implementation of new training protocols, training schedules, hospital training needs, and team concerns</li>

Work Environment

Under the supervision of the Program/Sports Director, the Sports Program Specialist is responsible for direct care and supervision for all participants in the sports programs. The Sports Program Specialist may assist in officiating youth sport games for enrolled participants. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
General Responsibilities:

<li>Organizes and executes all activities for enrolled participants. </li>
<li>Monitors the area at all times to ensure safety, and immediately makes changes as necessary.</li>
<li>Provides a positive environment for all participants, and actively encourages participation to ensure growth and development. </li>
<li>Exemplifies appropriate behavior and is a role model for participants; actively listening, shows patience, understanding, and respect for others. </li>
<li>Instructs and guides participants through the rules of the program and ensures adherence </li>

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Prior experience working with children and adults</li>

<li>Must have previous playing or officiating experience or have completed referee training clinic </li>
<li>Successfully complete State of Florida Criminal History Background Check requirements as well as meet the Association’s policies on background screening</li>
