Position Summary
We are seeking a Java Lead Services Engineer to provide both technical leadership (50%) and hands-on development (50%). This role will lead an engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise technology systems and applications, applying systematic and disciplined approaches to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a team of engineers working toward shared technical goals.
- Create and review technical design specifications.
- Lead the design and development of Maven-based Spring/Spring Boot applications (reactive programming a plus).
- Architect and implement microservices solutions with event-driven design patterns.
- Work with relational databases and stored procedures (NoSQL experience a plus).
- Utilize Kubernetes, containers, GitOps, and Jenkins for deployment and orchestration.
- Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on coding and system design.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and Maven.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Experience with relational databases and stored procedure design.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, containers, GitOps, and Jenkins.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams while contributing as a developer.
