-Providing individual counseling and group guidance to help students cope
effectively with personal, social, and academic concerns.
-Communicate effectively with administration, teachers, mental health staff, parents, SROs and other school and community stakeholders, as necessary, about student threats of self-harm or harming others, significant behavioral changes,
significant grade changes, and other mental health or behavioral concerns.
-Coordinate 504 plans and participate in attendance hearings for students assigned
to your caseload.
-Serve on the school crisis team and be on call to assist with crises affecting middle
school students.
-Assist special education staff in the monitoring and execution of IEPs.
-Assist in the maintenance of student records assuring their confidentiality
